It was in Vietnam that we heard the news. Then we decided to take a nap. When We Awoke, The Dinosaur Was Still There.

I've decided to focus on the following skills:
- Data science
- Infection control
- English for clinical reasoning
- Ultrasound for physical examination
As chance would have it, the acronym "DIEU" is just same as the name of the hospital
where Ryouun Takamatsu studied medicine. He is one of the characters of the Japanese anime series, "Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto" and was an actual doctor. I knew him from a TV drama series, "Shishi no jidai (The Era of the Lions)."

When I was a child, I hated ambiguity such as cloudy weather. The older I get, the more I like clouds. Observing clouds on my way to office is a favorite pastime. And now I am a member of The Cloud Appreciation Society. John Finley, English historian and mathematician may well tell us: "Maturity of mind is the capacity to endure uncertainty".

In 2025 we'll see 100th year of Showa era. There will be 5 years left until my retirement. Today I decided to remember "Carpe diem". A scene of ER TV series inspired me to start this blog.
Greene: Close your eyes, O.K?
Katie: O.K.
Greene: What do you see?
Katie: The sky.
Greene: What's up there?
Katie: Orion's belt.
Greene: Orion's?
Katie: He couldn't beat the scorpions, so he jumped into the sea.
Greene: Really?
Katie: Artemus put him the sky where the scorpions never gets him.
Greene: I didn't know that. There. That didn't hurt did it?
Katie: Is it over?
Greene: It's all done. Thank you Katie.
Katie: What did I do?
Greene: You just became my very last patient.
Katie's dad: Your shift over?
Greene: Yes.
